Tokyo Disneyland Resort - Star Tours (live)

Tomorrow & Star Wars Theme
I have no idea where this is from, but I have a feeling it was probably used to promote the opening of Star Tours in 1987. Disney fans, any ideas?
Posted this a while ago to my other blog, but I’m reblogging it here because I can’t stop laughing
I can’t listen to this without picturing Mickey, in that outfit, doing a “1980s movie-style” workout montage, with C3PO urging him on.

The ghost at Star Tours
I think it’s time I told the story of the Star Tours ghost.
[don’t read if you don’t want to be creeped out]
[also it’s pretty long]
I LOVE Disneyland ghost stories. This is one (perhaps it counts as two) that I had not heard.
Remember waiting two hours to ride Star Tours?

Wait…Star Tours 2.0 takes place before the original Star Tours.
So the Star Tours travel company went from this to the orange and blue jump suits that they wear in the future?
I guess they switch during the time between Star Tours 2.0 and Star Tours because all Star Tours employees must be cross-trained as mechanics as a cost-cutting measure.
Then again, I guess that would explain Rex’s constant malfunctions. When you go cheap, accidents happen.
Just ask the people who died waiting for The Columbia when Disneyland was too cheap to replace rotting wood. Or the guy who died on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad because maintenance work was being signed off on, but not performed.
