Splash Mountain exit music. This track always makes me happy.
Immediately made me feel like I should wipe the water from my face.
Aerial view of the Haunted Mansion and Splash Mountain show buildings
Also shown: my old stomping grounds, the ODV (Outdoor Vending) warehouse! This is where the food carts and stock are kept when they aren’t in the park.
On the north side of the building (this photo looks more or less south to north), you can see the tuggers and trailers used to tow wagons to and from the nearest onstage entrance, so the carts don’t have to be pushed up that giant hill in Critter Country anymore.
Because once a guest gets in the way on the way up that hill, good luck getting the cart moving uphill again after you’ve stopped to avoid killing them.
And downhill? Good luck stopping at all if someone gets in your way when you’re trying to hold back a couple thousand pounds on wheels that wants to careen down the hill.
Hence, the large carts now being driven around the outside of the park. It’s more expensive, but exponentially safer.
Here’s a dumbed-down version of the picture:

Hey, look, there’s an alligator with sharp teeth within a few feet of Splash Mountain guests that can’t run because they are held in place by a lap bar.
I think I will hit it and make it angry.
Tokyo Disney Resort - Splash Mountain (Float Through)
Splash Mountain - Sooner or Later queue music
This brings back memories of being on Ice Cream 12 outside the old Briar Patch store (although Ice Cream 12 was later renamed Ice Cream 7 and put down by the Winnie the Pooh photo op, which wasn’t that bad of an idea because the old location was on a hill and sometimes people accidentally kicked out he wheel blocks so I had to stand with a foot under the back tire to keep the cart from rolling away).
Grand Opening of Splash Mountain - WDW
Now, I love the Disney Parks, but the entertainment department seriously has some issues in not understanding when something is too ‘kitschy’ or aimed square at not-too-bright children, even today…..evidenced here….
This seems like a parody of a Disney number…except that it was actually put together by Disney. This is incredibly cheesy.
The hot air balloons were kind of cool, and it was nice to see Ear Force One, but the rest of the time I just reacted like this:

That’s a nice job of timing the photo with the flash of the ride camera!
