Ballad of Thunder Mountain.
I know not of any concrete evidence this track was ever played in either Disneyland or Magic Kingdom (as area music for Big Thunder), but it is most likely this was on a souvenir record, like were produced and sold for Haunted Mansion, America Sings, Pirates of the Caribbean, and etc.
As far as I know, this song was created for the old Disneyland Forever kiosks (or at least that was the first time it was used). It does seem to have more of a “1990s” feel than that of something from the late 70s when Big Thunder opened.
Lyrics below the cut for those who want to read along as you listen.
There was a super-extended version of the song that was performed for the opening ceremony of the WDW version back in the 80s, which you can find the audio of in Martin Smith’s excellent “Western River Expedition/WDW Pirates/WDW Big Thunder Mountain” video around the 30 minute mark

Get some popcorn, the whole video is 90 minutes long.
Thank you very much!

A Rocket Rod on display by Hollywood & Dine during the DCA 1.0 days.
This always seemed like rubbing it in our faces.
“Hey, remember that PeopleMover ride you really liked? Take a look at the thing that took it away from you. You know, the thing that only lasted a couple years then shut down because we cut corners when we installed it? Now there’s no attraction there at all — just an empty track that will still be sitting there unused over a decade from now. Yeah, here, have an old ride vehicle to look at. It’s cheaper than putting an actual attraction here, or maybe having something better than Superstar Limo.”

True Disney Facts: The Origin of Turkey Legs
Anyone who has spent time at Magic Kingdom or Disneyland knows the tantalizing allure of the turkey leg: who hasn’t secretly desired to obtain the avian appendage and gnaw on the delicious meatbone in public like a starving mountain lion? (except, of course, for vegetarians, vegans, and folks with a fear of the vengeful ghosts of oversized birds)
But did you ever wonder how this tasty portable meat-meal was introduced to the parks? Wonder no more, for I shall tell you!
One day in the mid 90’s, Donald Duck failed to negotiate a proper work agreement with the entertainment department at Disneyland in Anaheim (much shouting, obscenity, and outbursts of slapstick violence resulted on Donald’s part). Unfortunately, TDA had the paperwork listings of his friends and relatives as references from when he was hired, and the newly-formed Outdoor Vending division was short of foodstuffs to sell. Seeing his relations hacked apart and slow-cooked to point of deliciousness changed his mind fast about how ‘cooperative’ he was willing to be with the suits in corporate. And that’s how turkey legs came to be a theme park staple, since they were in high demand even after the ‘Donald problem’ was resolved.
Yup, this is pretty much exactly how I remember it.
That awkward moment when you just spent $83 to bring your kid to the park, and the thing that gets the biggest smile is a 59¢ bottle of bubbles…
Disneyland Submarine Voyage Entrance & Peoplemover Track Viewpoint - 1992
I am strangely in love with videos like this. I wish I could be back in time to a summer night like this in 1992, to see this Tomorrowland…..
Memories of sitting outside the Tomorrowland Terrace with some french fries (because food more expensive than that would cut into my Magic Shop/arcade budget).
I submitted a joke for Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor! They’re totally going to perform it.
I want to print this out and frame it.
Perfect.
