chlooee asked: Regarding the giant inflatable Chicken Little, I remember seeing one at WDW in 2005 (Which is the year the film came out so I always figured that was a logical, real memory rather than my imagination running wild). Does that make blaming Eisner easier?

“Dad doesn’t let his concessionaires sell chewing gum or peanuts in shells, because they create litter. Spun candy is not sold, because children would get the sticky stuff on their clothes.” —From the January 5, 1957 Saturday Evening Post article on Walt Disney by his daughter Diane Disney Miller
When Disneyland first started selling cotton candy (back in the Toy Story...

Inquisitive 11-year-old boy: Mr. Disney, do you draw all those pictures yourself?
Walt Disney: No.
Boy: You do the first ones, don't you?
Walt: At one time I drew them all. Then, later, I did the first ones and had the others done by other artists, but today I draw none of them.
Boy: But you think up all the ideas, don't you, Mr. Disney?
Walt: No, I have men who work on ideas and I work with them; then we all team up to make it come out right.
Boy: What do you do, Mr. Disney?
Walt: That is a good question.

Anonymous asked: I'm surprised that no ones mentioned the fact that he has SCISSORS in Disneyland. Even if he is a Disney star, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't allow him to bring in scissors that large. So obviously this prank was planned in some way.

Eric Stonestreet, the guy who made that video of himself cutting the string on a little girl’s balloon in California Adventure, is on The Tonight Show. They showed the video, and the audience started booing him.
I was waiting for him to explain how it was all set up in advance, and it was just a joke, that the kid ended up with two or three balloons for being a part of the gag.
He...

Fun fact, I have a green foil star balloon that I was given at the zoo and it’s still fully inflated without ever being refilled.
Funner fact? I was two years old when I got it, making it a 16 year old balloon.
I may be carrying a balloon that is older than a fair few of my followers right now.

True Disney Facts: The Origin of Turkey Legs
truedisneyfacts:
Anyone who has spent time at Magic Kingdom or Disneyland knows the tantalizing allure of the turkey leg: who hasn’t secretly desired to obtain the avian appendage and gnaw on the delicious meatbone in public like a starving mountain lion? (except, of course, for vegetarians, vegans, and folks with a fear of the vengeful ghosts of oversized birds)
But did you ever wonder how...

Anonymous asked: I have seen some mixed feelings, but you as a someone who has been working for Disney. What is you opinion of returning/adding Oswald the Lucky Rabbit to the company? Do you think is a good idea? I like him, but sadly it kind of contradicts the "it all started with a mouse" so your thoughts about this character?
